Host School Responsibilities
Blue Springs serves as the host school for the Bands of America St Louis Super Regional Competition.
As part of the host school responsibilities, we provide volunteer assistance to support the many functional activities of running the marching competition. Parents that volunteer to support the event will receive a FREE Bands of America volunteer t-shirt, and FREE admission to the entire competition (valued at over $100). This event is held at The Dome at America's Center in downtown St Louis, MO. The prelim performances occur on Friday and Saturday. The finals performances typically begin around 7:00 pm.
It is recommended that you check the BOA website for the competition dates each year to make sure you're booking travel hotel accommodations early (if you're attending to watch your student perform). You will not need to make reservations for students that are participating.
