The Blue Springs High School Golden Regiment marching band has become one of the elite high school competitive bands in the United States. 

 

With many performances in the Bands of America Grand Nationals finals competition, the band has ranked as high as 3rd place in past competition and has earned the grand champion title for Class 3A.  In 2023 and 2024, the Golden Regiment was honored to win the 1st place Grand Champion title for the Bands of America St Louis Super Regional.

Past performances for the Golden Regiment have included the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, California, and multiple trips to Hawaii to participate in the Waikiki Holiday Parade.  The Golden Regiment was also honored to perform in the 2009 Inauguration Parade for President Barack Obama.  In 2025, the Golden Regiment will be travelling to Dublin, Ireland to participate in the St Patrick's Day Parade.

The Golden Regiment is most known for its amazing show design, pageantry detail, and phenomenal execution in music and visual performance.  Costume designs and props change from year to year bringing a new identity and life to each performance.  And the culture of unstoppable commitment has been passed down through generations of previous members to focus students on always striving for their best in musical performance.

Past students of Blue Springs High School have gone on to use the leadership skills they've learned in the Golden Regiment to do amazing things.  Whether they've gone into teaching music or designing rocket engines for NASA, their legacy will always be tied to the work they've done to propel the Golden Regiment to new heights.
