GR Parent Meeting & Volunteer Fair

An Introduction to the Season

The Golden Regiment Parent Meeting & Volunteer Fair is an opportunity for the students and parents to come together for a kick-off presentation of what can be expected in the upcoming season.  

Volunteer Fair

  • A volunteer fair will be set-up outside the band room in the Champions hallway.  Enter through the double doors to the South of the band room.

  • Parents can learn about the various volunteer areas within the Golden Regiment.  Each committee will set-up a small display to share what their work does to support the band program.  Parents can sign-up to volunteer in the areas they feel they can best connect with.

  • A raffle ticket will be given to parents for each conversation they share with a volunteer committee.  The raffle tickets will be put into a drawing for a $50 Fireworks Super Store gift certificate.  

  • The team store will be present with a complete display of merchandise.

The Parent Volunteer Fair was a 2023 winner of the Music for All Advocacy in Action awards for innovative volunteer coordination.  This event will help parents with learning about the many opportunities to use their talents to help shape the resources of the Golden Regiment.  It's an important event that parents should not miss!

Parent Meeting

  • Parents will move into the Performing Arts Center (PAC) for a presentation by the staff.

  • Details will be shared on the planned travel for the marching season.

  • The staff will share expectations for parents and how they can encourage their students in the program.

  • Information will be provided for the anticipated fees and the schedule for payments.

  • Staff will make themselves available at the end of the meeting for additional questions.
